Richard Joseph Seymour

Richard Joseph Seymour, Sr., 73, of Concord, NC passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House. Richard was born December 18, 1943 in New York City to the late Harold and Josephine Seymour. He served in the US Army and Army Reserves and was a bank examiner for over 40 years. Richard was active in the Boy Scouts on Staten Island where he served as treasurer for Troop 37. He also was a member of Police Auxiliary of Staten Island from 1970-1975. He was a member of Ancient Order of Hibernians – St. Brendan’s Division of St. Marks Catholic Church, Huntersville, NC and served as President of the Hibernians January 2015 until April of 2016.

Richard is survived by his loving family; wife of 49 years, Patricia Pfaff Seymour; children, Richard Seymour, Jr. (Nicole) of Oceanport, NJ, Daniel Seymour (Theresa) of Charlotte, NC, Philip Seymour of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Victoria Carey (Joseph) of Charlotte, NC, Heather Pitman (Carl) of Concord, NC, Matthew Seymour (Kristina) of Freehold, NJ; grandchildren, Taylor and Jake Seymour, Siena and Nicholas Seymour, Ava Pitman and Vincent Seymour; brothers, Michael Seymour, Kenneth Seymour; sisters, Patricia Tamborra and Kathleen Kelly.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
