Richard Davis Clincy, 76, of Huntersville, NC passed away on December 12, 2022. Richard was born in Chicago on October 21, 1946 to the late Minnie Wakefield.

Along with his mother, Richard is preceded in death by his stepfather, Luther Wakefield and sister, Delores Renee Wakefield.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Clincy; daughter, Kimberly Clincy; son, Richard Jason Clincy; grandson, Terrence Rogan; sister, Marilyn Hopkins; sister, Jacqueline Fizer; brother, Ary Lee Graham; brother, Gerald Graham; sister, Deneen Wakefield; brother, Luther Allen (Charlene) Wakefield; aunt, Mildred King; aunt, Marsha Powell; aunt, Margaret Jordan Perkins; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Richard loved jazz music, particularly hard bop. He was also an avid reader and sports fan, primarily football. Richard graduated from Chicago State University with a bachelor’s degree in geography. He proudly served in the US Army from 1964-1967.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amyloidosis Research Consortium(ARC) or the Amyloidosis Foundation.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Livestream of the service will be available via the following link: LIVESTREAM
