Richard Hunter Barkley

Richard Hunter Barkley "Toad," 63, of Davidson, NC passed away at home on January 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edith Barkley, and sister, Tana Beaube. Rick was a great friend to many people. He was a race fan for many years, and enjoyed spending the summers on Lake Norman with his godsons, Doug and Daniel Linn. He is survived by his aunts, June "Bunchie" and Marie Winecoff, and nephews Bryan and Justin Beaube of Alabama, as well as many cousins. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 5th 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 11841 Davidson-Concord Road, Davidson, NC. The family and friends send a very special thank you to Kim Cress for the wonderful love and care given to Rick during his illness.
