Richard L. Bailey

Richard Lewis Bailey, 89, of Huntersville, NC passed away on January 6, 2018.

Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 17, 1928 to the late Sylvia Bailey Marciano and Harold Bailey.

Richard was a US Army Veteran having served in World War II, and Korean War. He was a civil engineer on Long Island, NY, and was also an avid golfer.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, LaVerne Helen Bailey née Mack, and his step-father Vincent Francis Marciano. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Frances Flanagan Bailey, daughters Lorraine Bailey Conrad of Cornelius NC; Lynne Marie Bailey of Mount Vernon NY; Jeanne Flanagan of Fairport NY; Kerry Flanagan of Wading River NY and Suzanne Decoteau née Flanagan of Islip NY; cousin Paul Cicogna of Fremont CA; grandchildren Richard, Jillian, Dylan, Kevin, Christopher, Jessica, Jason and Carly; great granddaughters Sarae and Sky.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel.

Following the service a reception will be held for family and friends.
