Ricardo "Bruce" English

Ricardo Bruce English, (aka Big Papa), 60, of Huntersville, NC passed away on August 15, 2018. He was born on November 1, 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica to Norman B. English (deceased) and Ena C. Hoffman-English.

Bruce is survived by his loving family: Wife of almost 15 years, Sharon D. Jackson; Mother, Ena Hoffman-English; Brothers, Roberto B. English, Ecton B. English; Aunt, Beryl Clarke; Father-in-law, James B. Jackson, Sr.; Mother-in-law, Leona Jackson; Brothers-in-law, James B. Jackson, Jr., Corey A. Jackson; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  He is also survived by many extended family members.

Bruce had a passion for golf and enjoyed playing it any chance he got. He was a lifelong New York Jets and Mets fan, loved to travel, enjoyed collecting and sharing wine with friends, barbequing regardless of the weather, and loved to listen to live music.He was a member of the National Association of Urban Bankers (Delaware Chapter) and an active member at The North Huntersville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC.  Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm officiated by Rev. Dr. Nathaniel L. Edmond of the Second Baptist Church of Elgin, IL. Following the service a reception will be held at the funeral home.
