Reese Earl Untz

Reese Earl Untz, 82, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on May 20, 2021.

He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 28, 1938 to the late Merle Untz and Violet Coley Untz.  In addition to his parents, Reese was preceded in death by his son, Mike Untz; sister, Joyce Untz Tyndall; brother, Bill Untz; and granddaughter Christy Leigh Untz.

Reese is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda F. Untz; son, Mark Untz (Michelle); grandchildren, Kimberly Key (Jimmy), Tamie Boone (Kevin), Marcus Untz (Kayla), Laura Cohen (Guy); five great-grandchildren, Levi & Zoie Key, Callie Boone, Wyatt Untz, and Miles Cohen.

He was a supervisor at Duke Power for 36 years then owned and operated Porta Climb Tree Stands from 1980 through 2021.  Above all, he cherished time with his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, 1600 W. Mallard Creek Church Rd., Charlotte.  Interment will be in the church cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
