Randy David Long

Mr. Randy David Long, 49 of Charlotte, NC died Thursday June 16, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 11, 1962 in Hickory NC he is the son of James Garfield Long and Ruth Burge Long of Hickory, NC. Randy was a flight attendant with United Airlines for 25 years. The family will greet friends Sunday June 19, 2011 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, James and Ruth; partner, Steven Carpenter; sister, Kathy Byrum of Charlotte; brothers, Mark Long and wife Gayna of Keller, Tx, Gary Long and wife Mary of Conover, NC and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers John Andrew Long and Jeffrey Scott Long. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Levine-Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
