Ralph Edward Skipper

Ralph Edward "Skip" Skipper, 80, of Stanley, NC passed away Saturday April 20, 2013 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. Skip was born December 17, 1932 in Charlotte, NC to the late Daniel and Bessie Atkinson Skipper. He served his country in the US Navy as a diver and was manager of the East Lincoln Race Track for 18 years. He retired as the owner of a major league vending company and was an avid baseball fan. Skip leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Margaret Dean Walters Skipper; sons, Shane (Gena) Skipper of Davidson, NC, and Ralph, Jr. (Katie) Skipper of Stanley, NC; grandsons, Jacob and Matthew (Danielle) Skipper; great grandson Oliver Skipper, and several beloved nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Skip was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. A memorial service will be held on Monday April 22, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. with Rev. Rick Felts officiating.
