Polly Ann Martineck

Polly Ann Martineck, 64, of Cornelius, NC died Thursday March 6, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center. Born January 4, 1950 in Hartford Conn. she was a daughter of the late Richard and Irene Mackie Hoffer. Polly was a claims adjuster for Hartford Insurance Company prior to her retirement. She had a passion for animals and volunteered at the Cornelius Animal Shelter as well as pet sitting. Services will be private. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Holly Downs and husband, Robert of Huntersville; niece, Cheryl Downs; cousins, Dolores, Cindy, George, Bobby and Donnie Lizotte, Donna Gandza and her feline companion, Sadie. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cornelius Animal Shelter, Cornelius, NC 28031. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
