Phillip John Cole

Mr. Phillip John Cole, 74, of Charlotte, NC lost his courageous battle with cancer, Monday June 6, 2011 at Levine-Dickson Hospice House. Born February 15, 1937 in Harvey, Ill he was a son of the late John Cole and Velma Williams Cole. He was employed in management at Lucent Technologies in Burlington NC prior to retirement. Phillip was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, bird watching, the beach and mountains. Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday June 11 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sally Meyers Cole; daughters, Brenda Willoughby and husband Robert of Fuquay-Varina, Catherine Heiman and husband Harrison of Wis, Leslie Ford and husband James of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jennifer, Rebecca, Sarah, Harrison Jr, Veronica, Natalie; great grandchildren, Taylor, James, Eli, Luke, Benjamin and his brother, David Cole and wife Carol Lee of Il.
