Phil Morgan Gandy, Jr.

Phil Morgan Gandy, Jr., 77, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away on November 19, 2024, entering into the peaceful and glorious presence of his Lord Jesus Christ. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, on August 24, 1947, Phil was the first of six sons born to the late Phil Morgan Gandy, Sr., and Mary Williamson Gandy. Phil enjoyed a long and impactful career as a visionary, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, supporting ministries at home and abroad.

Phil is survived by his wife, Becky; his sons, Phil M. (Bunky) Gandy III (Ann), Richard M. Gandy, and Micah Gandy (Laina); Becky’s children, J. Lucarelli, Amy Gallagher (Matt), and Jeremy Lucarelli (Becky); his grandchildren, Seth Gandy, Olivia Gandy, Finley Gandy Lawson (Joshua Lawson), Kimber Gandy, Deacon Gandy, Brityn Gandy, Bishop Gandy, London Gandy, Sawyer Gandy, Berea Gallagher, Ben Gallagher, Joel Gallagher, Jocelyn Gallagher, Esme Gallagher, Isabella Lucarelli, Josiah Lucarelli, and Sophia Lucarelli; and his great-grandson, Bellamy Lawson.

Phil’s brothers—David, Bobby, Daniel, Quinton, and John—and their families also mourn his passing.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. A funeral service honoring Phil’s life and faith will follow at 1:00 PM in the Raymer-Kepner chapel.
