Joe "Red" Jones Paul Joseph Jones, 53, of Huntersville passed away on February 18, 2012 from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident on February 16 in Huntersville. He was a self-employed custom cabinet maker whose beautiful handiwork is enjoyed by many local residents who were not only his beloved customers but cherished friends as well. Joe had an electrifying personality that flowed into everyone he met. He leaves behind a loving wife, Cheryl and 2 beloved step-sons, Thomas and Tyler Wade to cherish his memory as well as his mother, Ourren Jones Meredith; brothers, Tommy & Johnny (Pam); sisters, Billie Luffman (Johnny), Shirley Smith (Wayne) and twin sister, Polly Whitley (Bill) and many nieces & nephews. He also leaves a host of very close cherished friends that he considered family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Charlotte Torrence Jones & father, Cecil Jones. A service to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 4pm at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville. Visitation will immediately follow the service in the family life center of the church.
