Paul Austin

Paul Alan Austin, 49, of Charlotte, NC passed away on May 12, 2017.

He was born in Mobile, AL on April 12, 1968 to Bill Austin and Joyce E.McMath.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, Bill Austin; step-father, Charlie McMath; and sister, Kathryn Collier.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce McMath; daughter, Kristen Austin Miller and her husband, Aaron; daughter, Karah Austin; step-mother, Donna Austin-Clark; brother, Charles Austin; sister, Grace Austin; sister, Michelle Austin Treadaway and her husband Matt; wife of 25 years, Melissa Austin; grandchildren, Austin C. Miller and Amélie R. Miller.

Paul was a graduate of Rock Hill High School-class of 1986, and worked for over 20 years at Wells Fargo. He was the world’s biggest Apple product fan and guru, a roller coaster enthusiast and very politically opinionated.  Paul was a proud father, dance dad, and grandfather; aka Opa. He was  the family chef, a friend to many, and he never met a stranger. Paul supported his family with enthusiasm and love, he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

A celebration of life will be held from 6:30 – 8:30 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC.
