Patricia Ann Gridley

Patricia Ann Poling Gridley, 81, of Huntersville passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 in her residence. She was born on November 3, 1931 to the late Edwin and Mary Schen Poling. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family. Her passion was teaching young kids and she did this for 40 years as an elementary school teacher. Along with her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Gretchen Johnson and her husband, Fred of Blountville, TN; step-children, Bruce Gridley and his wife, Carmen of Maryland, and Jill Carpenter and her husband, Kevin of Texas; grandchildren, Sasha and Ian Johnson; and sister, Marylou Shaw and husband, Hank of South Carolina. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Northlake Memorial Gardens, Huntersville with Rev. Christopher Thore officiating.
