Pamela Capps Curtis, 91, of Mooresville, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. She was born in Gaston County on September 5, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles F. Capps and Annie Hudspeth Capps. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Curtis; and sisters, Mary Francis McGinnis, and Polly Neal.
Pamela was a strong woman who served her Country in the United States Army, Women’s Army Corps. She was deployed and served as a medic during the Korean War. Pamela was also a multi-time Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as a member of First Baptist Church in Cornelius. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, friend, wife, and hero. Pamela was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Pamela is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Curtis II and Tanya; sister, Mattie Teague; four grandchildren, Julie Dawn Poole, Maxwell Curtis, Tony Curtis, Trey Causby; two great grandchildren, Dylan Poole, and Emerson Andreas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, 2:30 PM, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home of Huntersville, officiated by Rev. David Judge. The family will receive friends following the service. Inurnment will follow the services at Northlake Memorial Gardens, Huntersville.
