Owen Thomas Trammell

Mr. Owen Thomas Trammell, 92, of Huntersville, NC died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Olde Knox Commons. Born October 1, 1921 in Cairo, Georgia he was a son of the late William Duncan Trammell and Maudy Estelle Godwin Trammell. He was a retired Navy and Air Force veteran, serving in World II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following his military retirement he was employed in the aviation field with General Dynamics. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Cobb Funeral Home in Moultrie. Georgia. Burial will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening May 3, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Georgia Shaver Trammell; sons, Rodney Trammell of Texas, David Warburg, Jr. of Moultrie, GA, Daniel Warburg of Huntersville, NC; daughters, Tammy Stapp of Huntersville, NC , Kathy Lynn Duggins of High Shoals, NC; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son LaRue Trammell, daughter, Peggy Ann Dollar and fourteen siblings.
