Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Heinz Lutz and great-grandchild, Malik Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Margarete Conzelmann Lutz; son, Peter Lutz (Darlene) of Mobile, AL; daughter, Doris Brown (Welfred “Butch”) of Hopewell, VA; grandchildren, , Deborah Bishop (Chad), Amy Brown Bennett (Mark), Bryan Brown (Jeannette), Lena and Maegan Lutz; great-grandchildren, Payton, Blake, Brody, Avery, and Elijah.
He is also survived by Sister-in-law Nelly Lutz in Amriswil, Switzerland and her children Denise Lutz, Beatrix Schlumpf, Dieter Lutz, and Christopher Lutz along with Sister-in-law Rosemarie Blessing in Munich, Germany.
In 1963, he was hired by Lesley Fay to move to Lincolnton, North Carolina to operate Lesley Fay knitting plant. In 1972 he opened up his own knitting plant Swiss Knits which he owned and operated until his retirement. All his life he was active in the New Apostolic Church in Charlotte and lived his faith to the fullest.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the New Apostolic Church, 2535 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214.
