Ona Johnston Holbrook

Mrs. Ona Johnston Holbrook, 87, of Huntersville, NC died Sunday July 22, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville. Born September 17, 1924 in Huntersville she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Wilson Johnston and Bessie Head Johnston. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Huntersville, formerly employed as a film editor for MGM and Paramount Pictures and a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 25 at the First Baptist Church of Huntersville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Norman Holbrook, whose care, love and compassion has been much appreciated by the family and brother, Oliver L. Johnston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Newton Holbrook; siblings; Lawrence C. Johnston, Lavinia J. Tilson, Alice J. Norris, Arnold W. Johnston and Glenn P.
