Olivia "Toni" Howard

Olivia "Toni" Howard, 79, of Calabash, NC passed away on May 19, 2022. She was born in Charlotte, NC on January 9, 1943, the daughter of the late Heath Price Mullis and Elizabeth Callicutt Mullis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, whom she married in April 1966, Leonard Michael "Mickey" Howard. 

Toni graduated from Western Carolina University in 1965, where she majored in home economics. She went on to work as a dietician for Charlotte Memorial Hospital. Toni also taught school in the private school sector, at Southview Christian School and for the China Grove School District. She attended Eastside Baptist Church in Mooresville, NC where she also served as the church pianist. Toni's favorite song was "Victory in Jesus", and she loved "God Ain't Done Nothing but Good" by the Issacs. She also enjoyed attending Gaither Homecoming Revivals.  

Toni is survived by her son, Jonathan Curry Howard of Calabash, NC and his children, Jordan Duke and husband Colton, Bella Howard, and Olivia Howard; daughter, Caroline Howard Efaw, her husband Christopher, and their children, Hunter and Lilli Beth of Little River, SC; son, Michael Callicutt Howard of Longs, SC; and three great grandchildren, Jenna Duke, Renn Duke, and Camden Duke. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Mimosa Cemetery, Davidson, NC with Rev. Sheldon Davis officiating.
