Norton Legar Grady

Grady Legar Norton, 92, of Denver, NC passed away on January 15, 2021. He was born in Bowdon Junction, GA on November 23, 1928 to the late Oliver and Lola Norton. Grady was one of 14 siblings of which 11 are deceased.  Living siblings are, Valeria McAdams, Michael Norton and Frances Lindsey who all reside in Georgia.

Along with his parents, Mr. Norton is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Cruse Norton; brothers, and sisters.

He is survived by his sons, Randall (Kathy) Norton of Fort Mill, Rick (Debbie) Norton of Denver, and Ronald (Tresa) Norton of Denver; and four grandchildren, Lee Norton, Kisha Sheppard, Jeremiah Norton, and Leslie Crutchfield.

Mr. Norton was the founder and owner of Catawba Cricket Hatchery since 1952.  He remained active in the daily operations until his passing.  Mr. Norton was an avid hunter, fisherman and master Gardner.  He loved all things outdoors.

A private family graveside service will be held Monday, January 18, 2021 at Fairfield UMC Cemetery. Arrangements are by Raymer-Kepner Life Tribute Center located in Denver, NC.
