Nellie Sue Manies

Mrs. Nellie Sue Hayes Manies, 97, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday December 18, 2011 at her residence. Born June 22, 1914 in Greer SC she was a daughter of the late Martin L. Hayes and Willie Masengale Hayes. Mrs. Manies was the oldest member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking. Although she never learned to drive, she was always on the go. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Wednesday December 21 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Symanski officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:00 at the church. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Jerry (Ruth) Haynes of PA, Judy Hayes, Patty (Scott) Cornwell, Donnie (Carla) Manies all of Charlotte; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
