Naomi Abel

Naomi Mae Bulger Abel, 84, of Davidson, NC passed away Wednesday February 26, 2014 at The Pines of Davidson. Naomi was born October 22, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Edward and Lillian King Bulger. Naomi loved to read and was instrumental in starting the Moon Township Library in the Pittsburgh area. She taught Sunday school and enjoyed volunteering in schools for many years. Naomi was also a Brownie leader. Along with her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Abel, and one sister Dorothy Jean Bulger. Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, daughter; Kimberly Lane and husband Christopher, son; Doug Abel and wife Lynda, Robert Abel and wife Kelly, grandchildren; Jennifer Myler and husband Travis, Daniel Lane, Jessica Abel, Sarah Abel, Allison Abel, and Colin Abel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 1, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Davidson United Methodist Church. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Pines at Davidson Residence Fund, 400 Avinger Lane Davidson, NC or Lake Norman Hospice, 705 Griffith St. Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036.
