Nancy Ann Webb, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on May 25, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, Nancy was a vibrant spirit who brought light and laughter to everyone she encountered.
Nancy's love for connecting with others was evident in the ease with which she made new friends. Her presence left a lasting impact, brightening the lives of everyone she met. Her strength and positivity, especially in the face of life's toughest trials, were extraordinary. Even during the most difficult times, she remained a beacon of resilience.
As a mother, Nancy created many special memories with her children. She often took them to Opening Day for the Cincinnati Reds, and every year, without fail, she would miss the exit off the highway and end up in Kentucky. It became a part of the tradition, a reminder of her lightheartedness and the laughter they shared along the way.
Nancy’s creative spirit was reflected in her love for crafting, reading, and shopping with friends. She enjoyed painting and found joy in expressing herself through her numerous creative endeavors. She loved the bay in Fairhope, Alabama, treasuring its peaceful waters, beautiful scenery, and sunsets, which she often enjoyed with her late husband, Bob. She loved taking long drives in the classic cars she and Bob owned. Those road trips were filled with laughter, stories, and cherished moments, a reflection of their shared love for adventure and each other. Above all, Nancy treasured spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories that brought her joy.
Nancy leaves behind her son, Ryan Powell, and his husband Conor O'Sullivan. She is also survived by her daughter, Katie Halter, and her husband Devin; her grandsons, Chase and Cole Halter; her step-daughter, Jaime Coblentz, and her husband Zac; step-grandchild Alice Coblentz; step-son Travis Webb; her sister, Donna Matthews, and her husband Doug; her brother-in-law, Doyle Baughman; and her sisters-in-law, Pauline Waymire and Carol Grashel. Her memory will also be carried on by her niece, Dawn Hock, and her husband Chris, as well as niece Mary Griffith and her husband Bill, along with other extended family who adored her.
Nancy joins in eternal rest her parents, Vincent and Catherine Deis; her devoted husband Bob Webb; her sister Linda Baughman; her nephew David Matthews; and her dear friend Rosemary Meinking. Though they are gone from this world, their love and memories will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all those who knew them.
A service celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date in Ohio.
As we remember Nancy, let us celebrate her infectious spirit, unwavering strength, and the profound impact she made on our lives. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Fairhope’s Eastern Shore Art Center (ESAC), where Nancy enjoyed taking art classes. ESAC connects people of all ages and abilities with the arts through education, exhibitions and outreach activities.
