Nancy Jeanne Wagoner

Nancy LaNoue Wagoner, 68, of Huntersville, NC passed peacefully Friday night, December 26, 2014, with her family by her side, due to complications related to her long and courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born September 17, 1946 in Detroit, MI to Charles LaNoue and the late Irene LaNoue. Nancy was deeply cherished by many. She had a 45 year career as a labor and delivery nurse, and devoted her life to untiringly helping others. Nancy was a devout Christian and her faith was a great comfort in the end. This note does not do justice to the love, care and support she provided for so many. Nancy also enjoyed canoeing, reading the Bible, walking, and reading to her grandchildren, whom she so cherished. In addition to her father, Nancy is survived by her best friend and husband of 47 years, William Wagoner, whom she also attended Arno Grade School with in Allen Park, MI., her two daughters, Karen Wagoner de Sousa and Lauren Gardner, as well as her four grandchildren, Evelyn Gardner, Carolyn Gardner, Donovan de Sousa and Colette de Sousa. Her good work will be carried on by her family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Grace Covenant Church, with Pastor Paul Turbedsky officiating.
