Nancy McCullough Smith

Nancy McCullough Smith, 81, of Cornelius, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was born in Charlotte, NC on May 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Donald G. McCullough and Helen Brandon McCullough. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Smith.

Nancy was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville and worked as a music teacher. She was an avid piano player and loved music, cross stitch, and socializing. Nancy had the gift of gab and loved being around people, she never met a stranger. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura & Deron Vaughn; grandchildren, Ryan Vaughn, Matthew Vaughn, and Emilee Vaughn; and a special cousin, Marie Wilson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: First Presbyterian Church, Men's Bible Class, 249 W. McLelland Avenue, Mooresville, NC 28115.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville, 249 W. McLelland Ave., Mooresville, NC 28115. The family will receive friends in the Church parlor following the service. A private family interment will precede the services at Mt. Zion Cemetery.   **The service will be viewable in this obituary starting at 10:50AM, Friday, January 21, 2022.
