Nancy Thompson Hilton, a beloved woman who touched the lives of many, passed away on March 18, 2024, in Kings Mountain, NC. She was known for being the greatest mother in the world and cherished spending time at the beach and in the mountains. Nancy also liked to fish, enjoying these serene moments both alone and with her son, who was not just family but also her best friend and riding partner.
Born on August 4, 1935, in Mecklenburg County, NC, Nancy was the daughter of Grady and Dorothy Cherry Thompson. She shared a beautiful life with her loving husband, James Hilton, Sr. Nancy will be deeply missed by her family and friends as they come to terms with her passing.
In addition to her late husband, and late brother, James "Jimmy" Thompson, Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family members: Alan Hilton, Ernest Hilton, Kenneth Hilton, and James Hilton, Jr., her dear sons. She also held a special place in the hearts of Tam Thompson, her sister-in-law, and two nieces.
Nancy's presence brought light and joy to those around her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Nancy's life will be held on March 23, 2024, 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Huntersville, NC.
