Milton Wade McIlveen

     Milton Wade McIlveen, 80, of Cornelius, NC, formerly of Tullahoma, TN passed away peacefully on January 2, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.  Milton was born in Fairfield, TX to the late Dr. Millard Sidney McIlveen and Josephine Rollins McIlveen. He is survived by his wife, Darlene McIlveen, daughters Amy Gollinger and Cindy McIlveen, brother Jim McIlveen and sister-in-law Sue McIlveen and sister Susan Chancellor.  Milton is also survived by his beloved 17 year old dog, Macie.

     Milton graduated from University of Texas in 1962 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.  He then moved to Tullahoma, TN where he worked as an aerospace engineer for various companies based at Arnold Engineering Development Center and Arnold Air Force Base. He worked in the Engine Test Facility during the Apollo space program and with multiple military and private aircraft contractors during his long career.  Milton was a wonderful husband and father.  His kind soul and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.
