Michael Alan Reece

June 30, 1964 — December 30, 2016

Michael Alan Reece, age 52 of Huntersville, North Carolina died on December 30, 2016 with his family at his side.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 3:30 - 5:30 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2016 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC.

Graveside services will be held in Chicago.

Mr. Reece was born June 30, 1964 in Chicago Heights to Barbara and Harry Reece.

Mike graduated from Glenbard South High School, Glen Ellyn, IL and was a proud graduate of Auburn University.  From 1989-1999 Mike served his country as a UH-60 Helicopter Pilot in the United States Army.  Mike worked for Abbott Laboratories / Abbvie from 1999-to 2016 finishing his career as a Senior Specialty District Manager.

He loved spending time with his daughter, Madison and helped raise his step children Erin Donaldson Gwynn, Hunter Donaldson, Amber Donaldson Wood and Channing Donaldson.  He was an avid collector, enjoyed working on his pond and working on home improvement projects.

He was proceeded in death by his father Harry L. Reece.  Mike is survived by his daughter Madison Reece of North Carolina.  He is also survived by his mother Barbara Reece of St. Charles IL, his former wife and friend Lisa Reece, his brother Bill Reece and his wife Janet of St. Charles, IL and their children Jordan, Lauren and John, his uncle and aunt, Bill and Sally Hanawalt of Nekoosa, WI and many friends.
