?Michael Burgess, 69, passed away on October 18th, 2018 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was born August 28th, 1949 in Charlotte, NC to the late Ned and Ann Burgess.
He is survived by his son, Richard Burgess and daughter-in-law, Serena Sosa; three granddaughters, Aurelia Burgess, Sidney Burgess, and Georgina Burgess; Audrey McDonald; Kelly and Helen McDonald; sister, Janet Sanders; cousins, Karen Hudacheck Lowry, Harry Kiser, Jr.; aunt, Hazel Ellis; and nephews, Chris Sanders and Nick Sanders.
Michael enjoyed NASCAR, football games, ice hockey, Denny's Restaurants, and flying planes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Michael's honor.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.
