Michael Beatty

Michael Beatty, 67, of Davidson, NC died Friday, October 4, 2024. He was born to George Beatty and Virginia Dorrington in Atlantic City, NJ and was one of nine siblings.

He served in the Marine Corps from 1974-1980. Mike started weightlifting while in the Marines and continued competitively throughout his 20s. He used to say that Joanne married him for his ability to pick things up and put them down. 

Loving husband (of 43 years) to Joanne Flynn Beatty and father to Maureen Creighton (TJ), Sean Beatty (Bridgette) and Morgan Haynie (Bret). "Pop Pop" to Eliza, Evelyn, Piper and Penelope. He loved his granddaughters and enjoyed sharing his passion for painting and art with them. Mike never missed the opportunity to take the kids to see the latest Minions movie and let his inner kid shine. He also enjoyed fishing and bird watching in his spare time.
