Melissa A. Angel

Melissa Ann Angel was called home on June 25, 2019 surrounded by family and friends after a short yet valiant battle with cancer. Through it all, she remained unwavering in her love, faith, kindness, concern for others and yes, even manners.

Born on April 15, 1961 in Towanda, Pennsylvania to Sharon and David Estelle and later in life adopted by Cindy and David Estelle, Melissa finally found her forever home in North Carolina after raising her family in both Indiana and New Jersey. When asked what her profession was, she would respond with “blessed” with her lifework as a remarkable wife, mother and homemaker.

Simple, sweet things like landscaping, puzzling and enjoying life alongside her family and dear friends were some of the many things that made her beautiful smile the most pronounced. However, it is her passion for her God, her people and her life that remain the most remarkable. That, and the light she personalized for each and every person she met.

 Melissa’s husband Norm, daughter Marissa, 28, and son Norm Jr., 24, continue to live in her glow.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, June 29, 2019 for visitation from 2 PM through 4 PM at the Raymer- Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, North Carolina with a memorial service to follow immediately after at the same location.
