Mary Kay Sherwood

May Kay Sherwood passed away at her home on the evening of June 8,2019.

Mary was born in Jackson, MI, the Daughter of Joseph and Martha Collins.

Some people’s lives are measured by their record of accomplishment in athletics, business or academics. 

Mary’s life is measured by the quality of the Family she raised and supported through eleven moves between 4 States and 4 Countries.  Her legacy of Love, Compassion, Strength and Resilience is evidenced every day in her grandchildren.

Marrying Gary Sherwood on June 10^th, 1967, Mary spent the next five decades raising her children, ensuring every need of the family was met, navigating her family through the successes and the challenges of life.  Gaining two daughters through marriage and loving them as daughters-in-fact as opposed to daughters-in-law. She was the foundation and primary reason for the successes and prosperity of her family. 

Mary loved.  Loved her Husband.  Loved her Children and Grandchildren.  Loved to have fun.  She Loved Life!

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Thomas Sherwood; survived by her son, Jeffrey Thomas Sherwood and his wife Mary; son, Douglas Willard Sherwood; son, Michael Alan Sherwood and his wife Greta; grandchildren, Dalton Sherwood, Nikolas Sherwood, Justin Sherwood, Hannah Sherwood, Christina Sherwood. Kailyn Sherwood.  Brother Tom Collins and his wife Marie. Sister-in-Law Keyna Sherwood.
