Mary Rose Pearson Palmer, 65, of Huntersville, NC died September 28, 2011 at home. She was born on January 28, 1946 in Richmond, VA to Virginia May Polaskye Pearson and the late Clarence Wildie Pearson, Jr.. She graduated from Wheaton High School in Wheaton, MD in 1964, and also from Davidson County Community College in Lexington, NC. She was the general manager of the Days Inn in Cornelius, NC. Mary was an avid cook and loved nothing more than to please others by entertaining and cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, photography, and spending time with her sons, both of whom she considered her greatest achievments in life. Along with her father, Mary was preceeded in death by her sister Theresa C. Sexton. Surviving along with her mother are her two sons, Wesley Palmer and Jeff Palmer, both of Charlotte,NC, one brother Carl Pearson and his wife Suzanne of Oak Island, NC and two nieces. Friends are invited to attend a visitation and celebration on Sunday, October 1, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
