Mary Elizabeth Connell

Mary E. "Lib" Knight Connell, 98, of Charlotte, NC passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Huntersville Oaks. She was born on June 13, 1914 to the late George and Estelle Hopper Knight. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert; sister, Eugenia Angel; and brothers, Reaford Knight, Carlee Knight, and Wilbert Knight. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Shirley Hunter and her husband Billy Frank of Charlotte; sister, Vilma Farror; brothers, George Knight, William Knight, and Paul Knight; grandchildren, Debby Hunter, Bobby Hunter and his wife, Kim, Jimmy Hunter and his wife, Cindy Hough; great grandchildren, Gerald Hunter and his wife, Anna, Jennifer Evans and her husband, Rich, Bryan Hunter, Colt Hunter, Jake Hunter and his wife, Jaclyn, and Chase Hunter; great great grandchildren, Taylor, John, Cameron, Bryce, and Trey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church with Sarah Grace Montgomery and Rev. Dr. John Wilkerson officiating. Family will receive friends one hour following the service. A private burial will take place at Mallard Creek Cemetery.
