Mary Ann Swindell Windham

Mary Ann Swindell Windham, 76, of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully at her home on August 1, 2016. Ann was born March 8, 1940 in Charlotte, NC to the late Robert Lee and Virginia Turner Swindell. She worked in the cafeteria of the Highland Elementary School in Charlotte for many years and was a member of the Glory Land Baptist Church. Ann loved the Lord and her family, she also enjoyed fishing.

Along with her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby, Randy and Ted, and great granddaughter, Sami.

Ann “Maw Maw” is survived by her loving family; husband, Joel Art Windham; son, Joel L. Windham and his wife Angela of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Patty Windham Heindl and her husband Brian of Mt. Holly, NC; grandchildren, Steven, Danny, Matthew, Brian, Jr.; great grandchildren, Tracy, Danny, Dakota, Summer; brother, Larry Swindell.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Sam Case officiating. Burial will be private at Sharon Memorial Gardens.
