Martha McInnis

Martha Jane Fortner McInnis, loving mother, grandmother and sister, 72, of Davidson, NC passed away Thursday March 21, 2013 at Peak Resources in Charlotte, NC. Martha was born December 9, 1940 in Mooresville, NC to the late James Withers Fortner and Mary Madge Malcolm Fortner. Martha was married to the late Stephen F. McInnis . She was a manager for the S.I.M. Co., a member of MENSA, and an avid Tar Heel fan. Martha loved animals and nature and especially loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Martha is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Bullock Ginsburg and her husband Brian of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, James Steven Tyler Ginsburg, Ava Reece Ginsburg, Ashlynn Paige Ginsburg, Aiden Scott Ginsburg; sister, Jean Fortner Ward; sister-in-law, Joey Davis Fortner and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband Martha was preceded in death by her brother Ted Withers Fortner, Sr. A funeral will be held on Sunday March 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Davidson United Methodist Church in Davidson, NC with Rev. Jody Seymour officiating. Interment will follow at the Mimosa Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
