Mrs. Martha Dale Alexander Benson, 55, of Huntersville, NC went to the Lord on Sunday November 6, 2011. Born November 25, 1955 in Burlington, NC she was the daughter of Mary Ruth Surratt Alexander of Burlington and the late Reid Ross Alexander.Growing up she was an active member of Front Street United Methodist Church in Burlington and Huntersville United Methodist Church and a librarian. A celebration of her life was conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at The Huntersville United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Goode officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday Decemer 17, 2011 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington, NC. A loving, caring, spirit-filled wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to everyone she met, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Thomas; sons, William Tyler Benson, Thomas Alexander Benson of the home; mother, Mary Alexander; sister, Diane A. Damon and husband, Daniel Marcus Damon; niece, Joy Claire Damon and her loving canine companion, Zoey.
