Marshall Lawrence McElhaney

Marshall Lawrence McElhaney, 83, of Mt. Holly, NC, passed away November 27th, 2018.
He was born March 6th, 1935 to the late Sadie Louise Wallace and Hazel Lawrence McElhaney. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Queen McElhaney, as well as two sisters and two brothers.
Marshall is survived by two daughters, Carol Foard and husband Donald, and Vicki Cauthen and husband Tim; four granddaughters, Cori and Ally Cauthen and Meghan and Brooke Foard; and one sister-in-law, Melinda McElhaney.
In his spare time, Marshall enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing. Above all else, he loved spoiling his granddaughters. He was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Westgate Lodge 738, and the Oasis Shrine.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 1st, 2018 from 2:00-3:00pm at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Huntersville. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3:00pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the following: Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Rd., Huntersville, NC, 28078; Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054; or Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
