Mark Joseph Appleman

Mark Joseph Appleman, 77, of Stanley, NC, formerly of Canfield, OH passed away on October 25, 2023.  

He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 7, 1946 to the late Marcus Victor Appleman and Delphine Appleman. Along with his parents, Mark is preceded in death by his brothers Donald Appleman with his wife Judy and Robert Appleman with his wife Patty.

Mark was a graduate of Canfield High School in 1964.  He later enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam and Germany.  Once returning from the military, Mark pursued a career as a truck driver.  He was a Mason and member of Scottish Rite. 

In 1983 he married his wife Francine Dolence.  The couple lived in Canfield until retirement in 2008 of which they moved to Stanley, NC to be closer to their daughter Lisa and her family. 

Mark was a humble man.  He enjoyed the simple things in life, like a day on the water or a cold beer with his friends.  He enjoyed a good garage sale and mowing the grass.  In his spare time, he loved to tinker in his work shed and get into little projects.  He loved his family dearly and his grandchildren like no other.   He was the best father a little girl could ever ask for and will be missed greatly by all.   

He leaves his wife of 40 years, Francine; his daughter Lisa, (Trey Hendricks), of Denver, NC; grandchildren, Benjamin and Isabella Hendricks of Denver, NC; as well many beloved family members, his niece and nephews and dear friends. 

Per Mark's request, cremation was performed by Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Huntersville. Graveside services to be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield, Ohio at 11:00 AM.
