Marjorie Jean Faulk Maxson was truly blessed. She was born on March 11, 1931 and departed this life on March 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ruel Faulk and Sudie Faulk, and her beloved brother, Jackie Faulk. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 68 years, Clarence (Bud) Maxson; four daughters, Linda (Larry) Sheets, Cathy (Barry) Morton, Gail Gillespie and Jennifer Tabor. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Monica (Mike) Dezsi, Steven (Jessica) Sheets, Lisa (Cory) Pace, Eric (April) Rehagen, Ben Gillespie, Nicholas (Emily) Gillespie and Josh (Denise) Gehring; and twelve great grandchildren.
Married on January 1, 1949, Marjorie and Bud raised their 4 daughters, Linda, Cathy, Gail and Jennifer over the years in Indianapolis and Avon Indiana. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Marjorie faithfully cared for family and friends. A woman of faith and the heart of the Maxson family, Margie shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example, and also through various prayer groups, teaching Sunday School, Bible Study Fellowship, Eastern Star, Girl Scout leader, Good News Club teacher and many other volunteer activities for her family. With a zest for life, Marjorie loved to read, pray, study her Bible, work jigsaw puzzles, play games/cards, chat with friends and family, and travel…just to name a few.
A memorial service for Margie will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC with Rev. Dewey Smith officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Indianapolis, IN.
