Mario Bibiloni Jr. was born on December 28, 1944 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Carmen S. Trias Rodriguez and Mario Bibiloni Sr.. He attended Brooklyn Technical High School and earned a BA in Sociology from City College of New York in 1966. From 1966-70 he served in the US Navy as 2nd Class Petty Officer, and earned a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College in New York in 1977. Mario held several positions at the New York City Department of Special Services for Children from 1970-86, working his way from case worker, to Director of the Brooklyn Field Office, to Executive Assistant to the Executive Deputy Commissioner of Family and Children's Services Agency (FACSA), NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA). From 1986- 2003, he held various positions at Merrill Lynch, becoming Assistant Vice President of Global Expansion before returning to social work, serving as Deputy Director for Facilities at Health Industry Resources Enterprises, NYC (2003-4), and case worker for Charlotte Mecklenburg County, North Carolina (2004-2010). Upon retirement, Mario became a beloved volunteer and member of the Board of Directors at Ada Jenkins Center, helping to provide crisis assistance, medical care, education, and economic independence to the people of Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and South Iredell counties in North Carolina. He is survived by Linda Bibiloni, his wife of 23 years, his children Bianca Bibiloni, Andria Morales, Thomas Sobczyk Jr., Danielle Sobczyk and Nicholas Sobzcyk, and his six grandchildren.
