Margie Sain

Margie Harris Sain, 88, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 peacefully in her home surrounded by her daughter, Bobbie Jean Sain and son, Michael Neil Sain.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Northdale Baptist Church, 8104 Statesville Rd, Charlotte. Pastor Dennis Benton of Northdale Baptist will be officiating. Margie Sain will be cremated and her cremated remains will be buried alongside her husband Glenn Sain at Iredell Memorial Park. Procession to the Iredell Memorial Park will be immediately following the funeral service.

Margie Sain was born in Mocksville on June 25, 1928 in her home on a tobacco farm. Margie enjoyed spending time in her yard and garden, being a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary, and most of all spending time with her family.

Margie is survived by her two children, Michael Neil Sain, Bobbie Jean Sain and her husband Mac Owen. She is survived by her three grandchildren, Ashley Sain Kablan, husband Jay Kablan, and great grandson, Hank Kablan, Amanda Lee Piasecki and her husband, Michael Piasecki, Kaleigh Owen Greene and her husband Chris Greene. She is survived also by her sister Peggy Sheek.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Sain. Margie and Glenn were married on June 5, 1948 and had been married for 35 years before his passing. She is also preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Northdale Baptist Church. The family of Margie Sain wishes to thank Northdale Baptist Church and Hospice and Palliative Care for their support.
