Margaret Kelly Smawley

Mrs. Margaret Louise Kelly Smawley, 79, of Charlotte, NC died Monday March 12, 2012 at CMC Lincolnton. Born December 26 1932 in Rockingham NC she was a daughter of the late James Clyde Kelly and Lucy Grant Kelly. Mrs. Smawley was a retired private duty nurse. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, bus tours of the mountains and loved her children big and small and her canine companion Lucy. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 15 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Irish officiating. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Wade Smawley and Tracy Warren Smawley and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Marion Smawley in 1997, two sisters and one brother.
