Margaret C. Schwenk, 85 of Dennisport, Massachusetts, passed peacefully while surrounded by family on the morning of May 25, 2018; at her daughter Mary Blood’s home in Cornelius, NC. She was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph J. “Rudy”, Schwenk of 56 years.
Born, raised, and educated in Marlboro, Mass., Margaret was the daughter of the late Katherine and Francis Aho of Hudson, MA. Margaret would spend the early part of her career working as an LPN at Marlboro Hospital, while balancing her other full-time job in raising a family.
Margaret, and the late Rudolph, in 1981 pursued a lifelong dream of theirs and moved to Cape Cod; eventually residing in Dennisport, where she would spend the next 30 plus years working as one of the top real estate brokers on the Cape. In 2007 she retired to spend more time with her beloved husband Rudy. Margaret loved the beaches and the natural beauty of Cape Cod. She took great pride in her family and cherished every holiday, graduation and wedding.
Margaret is survived by a son, Rudy Schwenk and his wife Sandra of South Dennis, and her five daughters: Robin Johnson and her husband Donald of Byfield, MA, Elaine Starks of Dennis, Mary Ellen Blood and her husband Ted of Cornelius, NC, Debra Jeanne Osier and her husband Douglas of South Dennis, and Maureen Johnson of Yarmouth. She is also survived by her brother Gerald Allen Aho and his wife Ruby, and a sister Suzanne A. Bowman and her husband Dwight of Yarmouth. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of North Carolina.
