Margaret Virginia McHarris

Margaret Sanzone McHarris died November 5, 2018 in Cornelius, NC after a battle with dementia.

Margaret was a teacher and guidance counselor in central NY throughout her career.  She was a proud Sicilian, mother and smoker.  She loved to garden and read.  She was also an amazing cook and shared her cookies with loved ones every Christmas. 

But most of all Margaret loved to travel.  Her life goal was to step on all seven continents, which she achieved in 2016. Her favorite trip was spending a month on a freight carrier in Europe.  She passed on her love of traveling to her daughters and granddaughter. Her final wishes were that in lieu of services her daughters would travel to Sicily and scatter her ashes. For further details, contact the family.
