Margaret Love Magee

Margaret Love Magee 41, of Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  She was born in Charlotte, N.C. on November 24, 1980.

Meg had a deep and passionate love for music.  As a child she was involved in the Charlotte Children’s Choir, Bethel Presbyterian youth choir and could always be heard singing in the halls, outside patio and rooms at Hunter Village where she lived.  She attended Cornelius Elementary School, Alexander Middle School and North Mecklenburg High School where she played saxophone in the marching band.   She was a graduate of Appalachian State University.

Meg loved growing up on Lake Norman.  Her parents hosted many family and friends get togethers of swimming, boating, jet skiing and fabulous food!   She never met a stranger and once you were considered her friend you were also her family.  Her bubbly, witty , charming personality could fill up a room yet her  love and concern for others was truly genuine.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents; Joseph Edgar Magee, III and Auvalene Wilson Magee.  

She is survived by her loving aunts and uncles;  David and “Aunt Connie” Magee, Bill and Mary Magee,  Steve and Joyce Wilson, several cousins and their families, cherished friends and her special friend, Ben, who spoke with her daily from England. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at  Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius, NC. 

Her family would like to thank Rachel Connolly and her staff at Hunter Village Assisted Living for their constant support, care and sense of humor in caring for Meg the past 2 ½ years.
