Margaret Lou Hyatt Bass

Margaret Lou Hyatt Bass, 80, of Stanley, NC passed away peacefully April 1, 2016 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC. Margaret was born March 20, 1936 in Whiteville, NC to the late John and Daisy George Hyatt.

Margaret worked for Hamricks, Inc for 33 years in the shoe dept. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed walking, gardening, working puzzles, and riding in her golf cart.

Along with her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by five brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family; husband of 61 ½ years, Audrey C Bass; daughters, Marsha Bass of Charlotte, Wendy Bass Johnson (Mark) of Kings Mountain; sons, James Anthony Bass (Angie) of Cerro Gordo, NC, Richard Dean Bass (Amy) of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Green, Judy Gore, Kathleen Bullard; brother J.C. Hyatt; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2:30-4 pm at Westport Baptist Church, Denver, NC. Funeral services will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Steve Owenby and Rev. Brian Rabon officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Baptist Cemetery.
