Manfred Jurgen Werner Deicke

Mr. Manfred Jurgen Werner Deicke, 74, of Charlotte, NC died Thursday July 19, 2012 at his residence. Born June 3, 1938 in Braunschweig, Germany he was the son of the late Herbert and Liselotte Schoenerstedt Deicke. He was a veteran of the US Army, 509th Paratrooper Battalion and retired from Hoechst Celanese after 37 years of service as a textile chemist. He enjoyed traveling and his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday July 21 at St. Marks Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rae Deicke; daughter, Madeleine Murray and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Hailey, Andrew and Ashleigh.
