Lucas Solomon, born on January 28, 1945, left this world on February 4, 2025. He was a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and stepfather whose spirit touched the lives of many.
Lucas is survived by his devoted wife, Alice Solomon, who stood beside him through thick and thin. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Terrie Sites and her husband Greg, Sarah Clement, and Linda Liddington, along with his aunt, Nancy Patterson. His stepdaughter, Jennifer Hayes, and her daughters Raegan and Avery Hayes, continue Lucas's legacy, as do his stepson, Van James, his wife Jenny, and their sons Turner and Carson James. Family bonds were essential to Lucas, and he took great pride in his relationships, including those with his nephews, Abe and Gabe Sites, and Gabe's wife, Emily.
Lucas's passions brought him joy and fulfillment, finding peace in the calm of nature as an avid trout fisherman. He also had a remarkable talent for woodworking, particularly in crafting beautiful wooden bowls. Many will remember him for the pens he made and generously gifted to friends and family, each piece carrying a part of his craftsmanship and affection.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on February 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Raymer - Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, North Carolina. The address for the service is 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.
As we remember Lucas Solomon, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him and loved him dearly.
