Born in Troy, MO, Louise lived her early years in Missouri and Oklahoma before marrying John in 1950 in Saint Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mina Texas McCain Womble, and her siblings – Wilfred, Wendell, Florence, William and Wanda.
For all the years of her long life, Louise was an affectionate, kind and playful person who nonetheless did not suffer fools gladly. She never forgot a friend, or an enemy, and loved sports (including politics).
Fiercely devoted and loyal to her family, Louise made each member believe that he or she was much more gifted and special than he or she really was. An extremely capable person herself, she raised a son before returning to the work force to become a corporate officer for a manufacturing firm in Ohio, serving with great distinction.
To her family Louise’s loss would be unbearable, were it not for the many happy memories of big joyous meals; trips to Egypt, Williamsburg, Washington, D.C., New York City, Los Angeles and elsewhere; innumerable football, basketball and baseball games; and plenty of outings to Chinese restaurants.
Louise had a wonderful life, and she gave wonderful lives to those around her – especially her family. For that they will ever be grateful.
